About them

Locally, Cambridge Glass School has begun teaching glassblowing. We are proud to occupy a niche which was empty in Boston and firmly believe that everyone should have the opportunity to be creative. Blowing glass is so exciting and addictive we have filled the studios open time with classes and are committed to making glass accessible to the Boston public.

Here is an example of a course they teach

If you want a more in depth introduction to glass then try this class. It is Intended for beginners with no experience with molten glass. Demonstrations and hands on experience will introduce students to different aspects of glassblowing. Day one is a paperweight class getting students acquainted with the basic techniques, tools and equipment. Day two introduces the students to the techniques involved to create glass vessels. Gathering molten glass on a hollow steel pipe and blowing into it to form a bubble are the basic steps. Two professional instructors will lead this workshop which will meet for two four hour sessions.
